Ehwas rune gv.jpg

he Eihwaz rune, also known as "Eiwaz" or "Eoh," is one of the ancient symbols used in the runic alphabet, specifically in Elder Futhark, the oldest known runic script. The Elder Futhark was used by Germanic tribes during the Migration Period and the Viking Age. Eihwaz represents the sound "ei" or "io" and is associated with the concept of "yew tree." The yew tree is an evergreen tree with strong and durable wood, symbolizing endurance, resilience, and the ability to overcome challenges. As a result, the Eihwaz rune is often associated with the themes of protection, transformation, and inner strength. In divination or spiritual practices, Eihwaz can be interpreted as a rune of stability and balance. It suggests the need to face difficulties with courage, adaptability, and perseverance. It encourages self-reflection, inner growth, and finding inner resources to navigate challenging situations. It may also indicate the need for protection or a reminder to establish strong boundaries.
